Wedding Ceremony
In Cana
Jesus And His Disciples At A Marriage Feast In
Cana
In Cana,
Galilee, there was a marriage feast, and Mary and her half-sister Miriam, and
Jesus and his six disciples were among the guests. The ruler of the feast had heard
that Jesus was a master sent from God, and he requested Him to speak. And
Jesus said, “There is no tie more sacred than the marriage tie. The chain that
binds two souls in love is made in heaven, and man can never severe it in
asunder. The lower (carnal) passions of the
humanity may cause a union of a man and a woman, a union as weak and false as
when oil and water meet and do not mix. And then a priest may forge a
chain or ring, and bind the two. This is not marriage genuine; it is a
counterfeit. The couple are guilty of adultery; the priest is
party to the crime.” And that was all that Jesus said.
As Jesus stood apart in silent thought, His mother came and said to him, “The
wine has finished; what shall we do?”
And Jesus said, “Pray what is wine? It is but water with the flavouring of grapes.
And what are grapes? They are but certain kinds of thought made manifest, and I
can manifest that thought, and water will be wine.
He called the servants, and He said to them, “Bring in six water pots of stone,
a pot for each of these, my followers, and fill them up with water to the
brims.” The servants brought the water pots, and filled them to their brims.
And the Holy Spirit sent forth vibration, the moving power
of the Holy Spirit, into the pots, the water reddened, and turned to wine.
The servants took the wine and gave it to the ruler
(chairman) of the feast who called the bridegroom in and said to him, “This
wine is best of all; most people when they give a feast, bring in the best wine
at first; but, lo, you have reserved the best until last.” And when the
ruler and the guests were told that Jesus, by the power of thought, had turned
the water into wine, they were amazed. They said, “This man is more than
man; He surely the Christ, whom prophets of the olden times declared would
come.” And many of the guests
believed in Him, and gladly would have followed Him.
There was a marriage
at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; Jesus was also present,
with his disciples. When the wine finished, the mother of Jesus said to Him,
“They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with
me? My hour has not yet come.”
His mother said to the
servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now six stone jars were standing there,
for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.
Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the
brim. He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the steward of the
feast.” So they took it. When the steward of the feast tasted the water now
become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had
drawn the water knew), the steward of the feast called the bridegroom and said
to him, “Every man serves the good wine first; and when men have drunk freely,
then the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.”
After this He went
down to Caper′na-um, with His mother and His brothers
and His disciples; and there they stayed for a few days.
The Truth About The Wedding In Cana
Son of man, when we attended the
wedding ceremony, we did not go there to perform miracle. We were not even
invited to the ceremony. Jesus and His disciples were just passing by, when
they met the ceremony going on.
What made
the wine being served at the wedding to finish? I will say that they had
finished drinking the wine, people were so many that the wine was not enough.
Or, that God made it so for His glory to be shown to the world.
Son of man, it was the Angels that
came and took the wine.
Why did Mary go to tell Jesus about wine? She knew Jesus
could perform miracles.
It was not because of miracles that Mary went to tell Jesus.
The bible did not tell you humanity what Mary was. She was a visioner and a
Sabbatharian, who was seeing angels. Mary saw the angels when they came and
took away the wine. Mary saw the angels, and the angels told Mary to go and
meet Jesus. And the Holy Spirit took possession of Mary, and she said, “They
have no wine.”
The servants that Mary spoke to did not answer a word. Themselves did not do as Mary told them. They were less
concerned, but later they did what Mary told them.
Changing water into wine was not the first miracle. Jesus
Christ started in heaven to perform miracle, before he came down to the world.
Read the account again to see that Jesus did not do anything to perform the
miracle.
Why did Jesus say to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.”? It
was not yet time for Jesus to change bread and wine into His body and blood, as
Jesus did in the Last Supper, by introducing the Holy Communion.
Son of man, yourself answered correctly.
As soon as Mary was coming to Jesus, He said, “O woman, what have you to do with me?
...”
He was just joking with Mary, teasing her. It was a joke.
Just as if I had lost a book, and you took the book and hid it. When you saw me
coming to you, you knew that I was looking for the book. You hid it. I asked
you if you had seen the book. If you did not want to give it to me,
what
you would have said? I would have said, “Let us look for it.”
Jesus was saying, “What is it? Am I holding it?” It was just
a prank.
Son of man, the FirstSon never
prayed for the miracle.
Why did the people at the ceremony
get the miracle?
It was because of their obedience
and faith. There was never a time the FirstSon wanted to do miracle. After the
water was fetched into the vessels, the FirstSon would have spoken a word or dipped
His hand into the water. If He had moved His hand like this (demonstration), it
would have being a miracle. They just poured the water, and Jesus said to them,
“Now draw some out, and take it to the steward of the feast.”
Did this instruction showed that Jesus did a miracle? No, my
Lord.
Mary had gone to the FirstSon of God and pleaded with Him.
And because the FirstSon of God was there, just because of His presence alone,
the water turned into wine.
Lessons From The Wedding In Cana
Son of
man, why was that record written?
The record
was written to show the world the glorious works of God Almighty.
What the servants did is what the
ministers should do.
What did Mary tell Jesus?
Mary said to the servants, “Do
whatever He tells you.”
Why did Mary say so?
Son of man, the Holy Spirit did not write this account to
teach humanity that Jesus was performing miracles. But, there are lessons from
the incident:
1. For
people to learn how to be obedient.
2. For
people to learn to have faith.
3. For
people to learn to recognize the presence of the FirstSon.
4. For
people to learn this, for the fact that Jesus was there, is there anything that
cannot be done? No, my Lord.
5. The
FirstSon of God, as the man who saw God face to face, is here in the world, in
the midst of humanity, and the modern humanity do not care. They neither
recognize His presence nor accord Him any respect and honour.
They are busy seeking for Jesus, while Jesus Christ is right there in their
midst, before their own eyes. The physical eye does not see what is in spirit.
It is the spiritual eye that sees the realities in spirit.
The ministers, the members, should
follow the head with obedience. Not when somebody is told what to do, he goes
behind to change the instructions, or to plan and do a different thing, as he
wants.
Son of man, so should the minsters
do. Many ministers would complain of being tired. This incident is teaching the
world obedience. It shows that obedience is better than … sacrifice. Obedience
is the key to the kingdom of heaven.
Worthwhile Obedience
Humanity do not know that all things created by God do obey
God.
Do you not know that when God comes down to this world,
Thunder and Lightning do salute Him?
Do you not know this?
Will you say that that is a miracle?
It is worthwhile.
And it shows how to welcome the FirstSon of God, Jesus
Christ.
It shows what the FirstSon of God can do.
That is why all the Hosts of Angels and Saints of heaven are
wearing the FirstSon of God. Anywhere that themselves are present … no evil can
happen there. The powers of darkness cannot perform great exploits there. That
is what the incident shows.
Son of man, yourself do not know that if invitation was not
given to the FirstSon, do you know who would have come there? It is Satan the
Devil.
And all the wine would have been corrupted.
And if the Angels took away the wine, none would have left
and the ceremony would have been a great failure.
The people there were lucky, because the FirstSon of God was
there…
My Time Has Not Yet Come
It was not yet the time to
introduce the bread and wine of the Holy Communion, which Jesus did at the Last
Supper.
Very Important Points
1.
Wedding is good and should be simple and moderate.
2.
Today, people are forging and publicising all kinds of
pre-wedding outings, wedding styles, glamorous occasions, including kissing and
romancing inside the churches. All these are abominations, and are the works of
Devil, just to lure souls of humanity into the hell fire.
3.
The general public and clergy fail to protect the
youths and children from sexual immoralities, corrupting the hearts and mind of
the youths and children, who are the future leaders, by allowing kissing and
romance during wedding ceremonies, in the presence of children and youths who
are not yet ready and mature for marriage.
4.
It must be made emphatically clear that sex and
romance are private affairs that should not be made public.
5.
Besides, pre-marital sex and sex outside marriage are
not allowed, because they cause spiritual downfall and destruction.
6.
Let every wedding ceremony be a simple occasions that
is not material and financial burdens to the couple or their relations.
